Can I bring my pet on-board flights to Hawaii?

Allegiant does not accept live animals/pets on flights to or from Hawaii.

Can I bring my pet on-board?

Yes, Allegiant accepts live animals/pets (domestic cats and dogs only) in the passenger cabin of the aircraft on flights within the contiguous 48 United States.

The kennel must be an approved, soft-sided, leak proof kennel or carrier that fits under the seat directly in front of you - maximum size of 9" H x 16" W x 19" D.

Your pet must be small enough to fit comfortably in a carrier/kennel without having any part of their body, including the head, protrude from the carrier/kennel. Pets should have adequate space to stand and turn inside the carrier/kennel. The Customer Service Agent will determine if there is adequate room in the carrier. Pets must remain completely inside the carrier, under the seat directly in front of you, at all times.

A kennel or carrier is included in the carry-on baggage limitations.

Fees, Reservations and Seating - There is a $100 fee per one-way flight for each carrier in the cabin, with no more than two (2) pets per carrier. This fee must be paid at the time of booking the reservation.

Allegiant knows that your furry friends love to travel with you.  To book a reservation with a pet, click the “Add a Pet in Cabin” link on the Travelers section when booking your reservation online.

Customers may not be seated in exit rows, one row before or after an exit row for safety reasons or in the bulkhead seats since the carrier must fit under the seat in front of you. There can only be one (1) pet carrier per side, for a maximum of two (2) pet carriers per row.

Check-in - Customers traveling with pet carriers must check in at the ticket counter - mobile or online check-in is not allowed.

Allegiant does not require a health certificate for pets traveling in the cabin.

Allegiant assumes no liability for the health or well-being of carry-on pets.

There are strict requirements regarding the entry of service animals into Hawaii.

Customers planning to travel to Hawaii with a service dog should view the Hawaii Department of Agriculture Web site and plan accordingly.

Can my child who is at least 15 years old, traveling alone bring a pet on-board?

I am unable to check in online and have been instructed to check in at the airport.

Online check-in is available starting 24 hours before scheduled flight departure.
Most passengers should be able to check in online or via the free Allegiant2Go mobile app, however some passengers will not be able to print a boarding pass and will be instructed to check in at the airport ticket counter, in which case the airport boarding pass printing fees will be waived.

The reason for this is usually so that we can best accommodate special service requests on a passenger itinerary (such as a pet in cabin, wheelchair, or special need) or to better seat families together.
Remember, even if you check in online, we recommend all passengers arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before scheduled flight departure.

Checked baggage must be brought to the airline ticket counter at least one hour before departure.

Please plan to be completely checked in, through airport security, and in the departure boarding gate area one hour before departure time.

Is there a fee to bring a pet in the cabin?

There is a fee of $100 each way to travel with a pet (domestic cats and dogs only) in the cabin in an FAA-approved soft-side carrier.
A fee does not apply to service animals of passengers with disabilities.
